Club América is one of the most successful football clubs in Mexico. It has won league and cup titles and produced some of the greatest players in Mexican history.

Pachuca has won six professional titles: three CONCACAF Champions’ Cups (2000–01), one CONCACAF Gold Cup (2004) and two ligas titles for the Primera División Apertura 2009–10 season, thus qualifying them to participate in Copa Libertadores de América 2011 as well as being ranked as one of top 100 teams worldwide according to FIFA Ranking.
